Southwest Regional Food Business Center

The Southwest Regional Food Business Center is accelerating a resilient, diverse and competitive local and regional food system by improving opportunities for food and farm businesses across a four-state region of Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah.

The Center’s work in Arizona is led by Local First, in partnership with the Arizona State Department of Agriculture and the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension.

Thrive serves as a technical assistance provider for Arizona’s Center. Through the Center we are able to provide free consulting and development services to Arizona-based small and mid-sized farms and food businesses.

We provide hands-on support to farmers and food businesses, offering services like:

  • Customized workshops to educate and support values-based food businesses

  • Values-based business planning tailored to the unique goals of farms and food businesses

  • One-on-one entrepreneurial development to strengthen business success

  • Co-op development support for farmers and food businesses

  • Sustainability and climate-smart business planning support
